One of the Best B&Bs in Ireland!"

"We stayed in Fernroyd House B&B in June 2006. It was the first place we stayed in Ireland and it turned out to be one of the best places we stayed on our entire trip! Avril and Tony are truly delightful hosts. They went out of their way (and that's no exaggeration) to help us find our way around Cork, find good restaurants and even our way out of the city.

Their B&B is very tastefully decorated and cozy. It looks like they recently updated the bathrooms and interior design. The breakfast was also terrific (again, one of the best we had in Ireland). And best of all, it's on a quiet street but still not far from the center of town.

We definitely recommend staying at the Fernroyd House and would stay there again in a heartbeat if we ever make it over to Cork again. (Also, beware that many of the other B&Bs in Cork are on a very busy street - I'm a very light sleeper and it probably would have been difficult for me to get to sleep in those B&Bs). This is a wonderful B&B! You must stay here if you visit Cork!!"

"My husband and I had the pleasure in staying at Fernroyd House for 3 nights (booked on the strength of triip advisor reviews) and we were'nt disappointed.

Avril and Tony are fantastic hosts and made as feel very welcome nothing was too much trouble for example we got lost on our arrival in Cork , one phone call to Avril and she came out and rescued us, also they were more than helpful in recommending restaurants and bars in the local area. The room was very tastefully decorated and furnished and the breakfast second none, especially Avril's home made scones. Fernroyd House is very centrally located and it was great to be able to walk into the city centre which was very impressive, with its vast array of shops,bars and restaurants (Scouzies and Greenes a must), In addition it was well situated for trips to Blarney Castle (yes I kissed the stone), and Muckross House which was well worth a visit, all in all a fantastic break"
